The Random Chicken Home Page

Dynamic Spreadsheets, data mining, classic works of literature,
c'mon. After a workday of drudgery, do you really want to do homework
on the internet?
Of course not. You want relief. You want relaxation. You want
random pictures of chickens...
Wait a minute.
"Well,
originally it was going to be called random, nude chicks," says
Chris TeSelle, the poultry proprietor. "I figure a lot of people
would come to the page and become very upset."
Instead, the Fountain Valley resident tried truth in advertising.
He promises farm animals, he delivers. More than 70 photos, in
fact, scoured from other World Wide Web sites and submissions
sent by E-Mail. And for some reason, people visit.
"I
think that I am on Yahoo's worthless links page," says TeSelle,
20, a computer programmer. "I'd also like to be on Mirsky's Worst
of the Web."
Such high hopes. But does he ever worry that people will think
he's got some strange chicken fetish?
"No,"
TeSelle says.
Does he?
"No!" TeSelle says
Not that his page is completely random. He receives many Spam
recipes ("Some are pretty sick, like Spam goulash") and his main
page (http://www.teselle.com) las links to Web pages for Campus
Crusade for Christ and others TeSelle helped design.
But don't ask him to sympathize with people who are looking for,
say, important farming information and find his site instead.
"If
(finding random stuff) bothers someone, they shouldn't be on the
Internet," he says. "It's good for research, but it's fun as well."
